Your girlfriend uploads a clip of you on a funfair ride, screaming like a girl…

james morrison...

James Morrison popped into studio today for a chat - what a lovely guy!

The first thing I do when I arrive into work in the morning is run up the wall:

I just clicked into iTunes to check our chart position.

The podcast charting is JP's baby, so this is my first time in ages.

And we're not even in the top 100. This may be the end of the road.

The only Today FM podcasts flying the flag in the top 100?

Well, if it's not invasive, I'm not paying 250 quid for it.

If you're near a Butler's Chocolate place in the next day or two, and you like hot chocolate, buy a box of these:

look familiar...

Check out this clip of a dude making funny doing real life Twitter. Hilarious stuff. Oh, and can you spot who he looks a little bit like?

I'll give you a clue. It's Ray. It's Ray Foley.

You must believe everything you read in the Quahog Herald...

Check out this guy:

He’s got a working phone, the sod. Which is more than I’ve got.

My iPhone died a couple of weeks ago so I called up the phone insurance company and applied for repairs. They asked me did I want a phone for while my iPhone was away. I asked was the replacement phone an iPhone. God, no. Sure why would it be? You’d get a Nokia. Forget it, just come and get the phone and fix it.

They arranged a courier to come and pick up my phone at a specific time and place (in work), and he showed up too early. So I missed giving him the phone. He said no bother, he’d be back later in the day. He never came. So I had to call the disinterested people in PhoneCover people and arrange pickup again.

This happened twice more.

Eventually the dude got the phone and took it away.

A couple of days later, I call up PhoneCover to ask when I might expect to get the phone back. After checking, she informed me in a “what the fuck?” tone that my phone was only sent in two days before, and that phone repairs can take a week to ten days to get back, in a voice that said “duh, dickhead”. She checked again and said I should expect it back early next week (which is this week).

Early next week is what? Monday or Tuesday? Nothing from them by yesterday (Wednesday), so I called again.

Again the tone – God, what a dick you are for calling. “Eh, your phone was only sent in last week?”

“Yeah, I know – I was told that I’d get it back early this week though.”

“Well it takes ten to fourteen days for repairs.”

“But I was told it would be up to ten days last week, and now it’s getting longer.”

“We’ll call you when it’s repaired and we’ll get it out to you.”

So here’s my question: are you obliged to take phone insurance with the company that is recommended by your mobile operator? Or can you shop around for phone insurance with another company?

He met Martin Sheen this morning.

The real president.

And he signed Al’s West Wing box set.

Susan Boyle in marketing deal with sandwich-makers, Munchies:

iPods next!

I really enjoy Charlie Brooker’s stuff.

I started with ScreenWipe, but NewsWipe has made a proper fan of me.

He generally makes some very good points while mostly being very funny.

On Jade:

And exactly what we said about Susan Boyle:

“Hmmm, except she’s not that remarkable if you stop to think about it for I don’t know, zero point six eighth of a second.”

NewsWipe wrapped last week and I do hope it returns, but he’s suggested on twitter as to what his next project might be:
